let bruno off the lead.
We let bruno of the lead for the first time, it was not planned but i had a few cheeky ones and felt confident enough to go for it, i walk him in a war memorial park that allows dogs off leads, i let him off where there was only dogs in the distance and he was amazing, stayed by my side the whole time, he kept stopping and looking at other dogs and humans but never ran away, we got close to one dog and i thought he was going to leg it and got abit worried and shouted loudly BRUNO and he never moved, came across a puppy bitch that we allowed him to play with and i think he was abit dominant over her but there was no biting, he just pinned her down abit with his paws.....i hope it goes that well next time, proud of him.

Well done Bruno
Its great to see them tear round when you let them off. Lets hope he's just as good staying by your side if he sees a rabbit! Thats the real test
Glad it went well

It's great to be able to allow them a bit of freedom, well done. Just be aware that as his confidence builds he may go deaf when he sees something or someone who appears more fun than you.

Yeah, that never lasted, tried it again and he was so distracted he ran like a greyhound to a bitch, luckily she was tame but she felt under threat and cried, shouted bruno to come back but no joy, so he stays on the lead now.

Sorry about that A long line is always a good tool to practice. We never let Suki off lead unless it's a closed in area and she has already met the other dogs. Her recall is good but if she really wants to investigate something it's off she goes

I let sapphire off the lead for the first time she was fab the second time was fab too. The third she decided she wanted to investigate some steps onto a farmers field and off she ran i shouted her back and she stopped looked at me as if to say what ive done now and i said come back she thought it was a game so i whistled and said come on girl and when i carried on walking she must have thought no mummy dont leave me and she ran like the wind and come straight back. Very good girl shes never strayed far since. Xx
