what time do you get up?
Or should that be what time are you forced up by the dogsters!
Now my body clocked is well and truely messed up, always has been! but with working nights and whatever we have backwards days so we don't tend to get up until 2-3pm but then we don't go to bed until about 6-7am the next day.
But we still go for 2 walks, and they are fed once a day anyway so that doesn't matter, but they are very very used to our routine, and seeing as though they sleep on our bed with us they stay asleep and wake us up normally about 3
So what time are you lot forced up by your doggies?

Re: what time do you get up?
I get up at different times day-to-day because I have a weird way of sleeping. But if no-one's up by 8am Loki will usually start crying only for the toilet and breakfast, mind you, he'll sleep after than until 10 or 11 if no-one disturbs him.

When I was working I used to get up at 6.30 am, whether my current dog liked it or not (and I certainly didn't!)
Now I'm retired my lie-ins have got longer and longer .... and here's where dogs are SO accommodating, Kuchar lies in with me, all cuddly and snoozy. I dread to tell you what time I get up these days!

i get woken for poo and pee walk at around 02:00 to 04:00 regular as clockwork then back to bed. funny thing is marley always gets under the covers with me after it while going to bed he sleeps on top and laska sleeps under the bed. not so nice when its raining and having a wet dog snuggled into you... good thing is i dont need the heating on

Re: what time do you get up?
I also work shifts Ledger hates getting up when I have to be out of the house by 5.30 his body clock tends to wake him about 9am. The problem with not having a garden is he needs frequent 4-5 wee walks so when Im on nights he gets one walk when I get home about 7.30am, after breakfast he will then sleep til lunchtime for a 5/10 min spin around the park then will sleep again til about 4.30 for another walk before tea. If I am lucky/tired enough I will sleep the same as him

Re: what time do you get up?
This clearly just goes to show that our dogs are our family members - not just a dog - and that we somehow balance our worklife round our dogs despite it not always being easy !!
Unlike those gumtree "sellers" advertising their "Staffy" for sale "threw no folt of his own" (actual spelling on the ad)...OR..."haven't got time for him anymore" !! WHY NOT ??? I would give my last breath to my dog - not just "time" !!...OR...my personal fave (excuse the sarcasm) - work commitments/new job/wife got a full time job ?? BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA !! These people should have a look at this whole discussion & see how its done ! And WHY do we do it folks ??? Cos our dogs are our family !! Just like children (not that I have any) are family - funny how you never see any kids for sale on gumtree !!
Phew !! Rant over !! Thanks for listening peeps !! Lol x

Re: what time do you get up?
Weekdays normally up at 6 to strat work due to German time etc and trying to get my stuff done, Jen walks the dogs for 45 mins before School and then I take them out for a good off lead later in the morning or at dinnertime, then they have a teatime walk. As the mornings get lighter I wan to get up earlier like 5 is and make sure they get a good run out first thing.
Weekends are really random sometimes early and long walks sometimes later and more shorter walks just really depends on our day and plans

I'm the one usually waking ebony up she's such a sleepy dog in the house, she'll just move round the house sleeping in different areas! You'd be shocked to see how mad she goes when she's on the field

Re: what time do you get up?
6, though to be fair this is not because of the dogs just what time I need to get up to get ready for work. We have been very naughty lately and not walking the dogs anywhere even close to enough.
Re: what time do you get up?
I get up about 4:30 on days I am working, so they have a long hour and a half of exercise before I go to work at 7.
However on my days off, I do get a lay in till about half past 6!
