Leo, Staffie, DOB 2006 - Chessington
Leo, Staffie, DOB 2006 - Chessington
Homing Requirements: Leo is proven to live with children of all ages. Leo has been an only dog and is happy to continue be so. He ignores other dog outside, but doesn't like them in his face. Leo needs front door awareness and 'stay' to ensure he doesn't follow his nose! Leo has enjoyed a fair sized garden. Leo can be left for short periods.
His Story: Leo was rescued from Battersea 4 years ago, found on a building site at about 2-3 years old. He has lived in a young family unit. They have recently moved house and jobs. Leo's routine was lost and he was being left very long hours and just wasn't central to the families activities anymore. A couple of housetraining accidents due to long periods of being left and the husband ordered him out! Leo has been in kennels since December 12 in Chessington.
Advert: Leo is a mellow placid peace-making lion. He had strict house rules never being allowed upstairs or on furniture but would welcome a more inclusive lifestyle. Leo has lived with children from ages 0 - 10 years old with regular visitors. Leo has not lived with other animals but is not confrontational with other dogs; he would prefer to walk the other way. Cats he enjoys "seeing off" if they walk along the garden fence same applies to birds, but how he would be face to face with them has never been tested. Leo is neutered and vax'd.
Leo is a 6 year old Orange Brindle Staffie with an exceptional temperament. He has a slight kink in his tail which is possibly from a break in his past. Leo can be spooked by quick movements or a rolled up newspaper. Leo shies away from conflict, cats and loud noises. He never shows aggression, he may cower or run away. He may growl or bark with people sometimes but it is just 'Staffie chatter' he isn't being naughty! He hasn't done this for a long time but it is something to keep in mind. Leo deserves a harmonious family.
Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.[/b]

Re: Leo, Staffie, DOB 2006 - Chessington
The first time we took pics of Leo he hadn't long arrived. So last weekend we wanted to re-do his pics and we found a much more settled boy, but he was in the mood for fun with a capital EFF! He asked for cuddles, stole kisses, did commando crawl, showed off his Staffie flat frogs leg position, rolled around for tummy tickles, and just had tremendous fun! A nightmare to photograph in between laughing at his antics!
Leo you are a cheeky chap and just plain lovable!
All four paws pointing North - what a hoot you are Leo!
Leo is available to foster until his forever home comes along.
