Megan, Staffie, DOB 2009 - Chessington
Homing requirements: Megan needs a supportive family who will treasure this little snortling pedigree Staffie as she moves away from the label "breeding bitch" to treasured pet. She would value being an only pet and can be left to suit a part-time worker. Megan deserves an inclusive home. Appears non-plused with dogs outside - a typical Staffie - may not like off lead dogs in her face.
Video: Megan on her first walk in England just off transport from Ireland ... "and the top of the day to yer"!
Her Story: Megan was a 'cash cow' in Ireland who served her purpose. Her owner's son was told to take her to the 'pound'. In Ireland you can surrender unwanted dogs to stop them being dumped on the streets - most are put to sleep on the next vet's visit. The son called in to a lady in the back of beyond who rescues on his way and asked could she take Megan. She did and called upon Madeline's help to find her a rescue place. She was in season so 2 months later she arrived ready for spay. She had been caught through her kennel door and had a badly torn lip which has healed. Spayed, chipped and under going vax. Kennelled in Chessington.
Advert: Megan means 'little Pearl'. She was found hidden and locked away, she is now about to be revealed as the pearl of great worth she is. She'll be a prized possession of her family to be. Meanwhile she is relaxing and hoping a family alights upon her and completes a Homing Questionnaire, saying "Megan only Megan, we've no other pets and we can manage her on a lead and protect her outside"! Megan delights in travelling on the passenger seat in the car, but is also quiet in a travel crate. No crating indoors for Megan, she needs a life of sofas and roast beef!
Megan is a small 'chunky monkey' Staffie with Irish eyes a-shining. She seems in good health though has some scars on her but actually is not bad with dogs generally, just needs 'on lead' management to assure she isn't pushed too far with intrusive encounters. She is very loving and nudges you again and again to stroke her and practically purrs when you do. Megan is pleasure to help and will be treasured by her family.
Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.
