Molly's Story (Graphic Content/Pictures)
Can't remember how I came across it, but I was following this story for a while. Molly was an APBT that was used as a bait dog and was found tied to a radiator. She had to have seven surgeries to help with all of the injuries she had. She was fostered and we were kept updated with pictures of her playing with other dogs, looking happy, recovering, just being a well looked after, loved dog finally. On 1st February it turned out she had a really terrible infection in her spine and the decision was made to put her to sleep. I'm not sure why but this story really got to me more than I expected. Probably because she was recovering so well, I thought she'd be perfectly fine and just wanted to share it with you all because, although it's really sad, it's another story about how dogs that go through unimaginable pain and cruelty can put their trust in us again and enjoy life. I'm at least glad that she died later rather than sooner, so she got to experience love and happiness rather than dying after nothing but suffering.
This is the state she was in more or less when she came to the rescue.
She made loads of progress in her healing.
"Molly's human friend had recently found out she was pregnant. Molly saw her and promptly jumped up to kiss her belly and the baby inside."
If anyone thinks this is too graphic or inappropriate or whatever, feel free to remove the pictures. I just wanted to show how far she came, physically and emotionally. Even though it doesn't have a happy ending, it just reminds me how amazing these animals are to go through hell and still be our friends.

Thats so sad. I read about her before and how well she was getting on. I agree it's amazing that they can trust and love people after some of the things they are put through.

I find these stories very upsetting but you are right to share them and bring more awareness to the plight of these poor dogs.

I've never heard of this story before. I saw you posted it earlier but could read it in the obvious as the pictures are a bit gruesome.
Horrid story indeed.
But look how gorgeous she is

Poor poor little Molly. She deserved a happier ending, but thank heavens she knew love and happiness at the last.
Thank you for sharing, Tara

This is such a sad story Thank you for sharing though Tara. It just shows that even though she's been through hell she's just as loving and willing to learn and put up a fight against the bad names they get. Especially her playing with other dogs ect despite what she'd been through, that really is incredible. I wish stories like this were more publicized but I guess no-one cares when it's the pitbulls in pain an trouble R.I.P little girl, glad she found happiness and real love at the end of her time.
