She had to have an operation to remove her womb, due to an infection, should i be wary of and temprement change? she is very ralaxed and calm natured, should this affect her in the long run?

Re: Betty had womb taken out?
I'm so sorry to hear that she was unwell ><
I don't think it will change her temperament, if she has always been a relaxed and calm dog before I see no reason why that would change
I'm sure someone more experienced will be able to offer you better advice on any long term affects this op may have her, if any

No, at her age it won't change her in the least!
However, good luck on keeping her quiet while she heals!!!

Re: Betty had womb taken out?
At her age, there will be not much change. If anything she will chill out more due to the lack of the hormones.

It shouldn't change her temperament but try to keep her calm while she is resting.

Re: Betty had womb taken out?
I had two Dobermann bitches (at different times), both of whom had to be spayed because of constant phantom pregnancies, between 2 and 3 years of age.
Spaying made no difference to their temperaments whatsoever, the only problem I had was that one of them developed urinary incontinence after a few years.
Get well again soon Betty ><

Re: Betty had womb taken out?
My Brandy had her womb removed and I haven't noticed any change in temperament, the one thing I did notice was that she seemed to put on some size, and became a little stockier.
