Crazy dog!
Ever since i woke up to Alfie jumping and rolling all over me this morning hes been extremely hyper! Hes running around the house and going mad with his toys! Hes already been naughty and got into the bin! A long walk is in order i think!

Re: Crazy dog!
Tommy was a nightmare last night , constantly off the bed , find a Croc back on the bed , march around the bed (trampling me , the OH and Tilly who was hiding under the covers in the process) , throw himself down like a sack of taties , back up and repeat

Re: Crazy dog!
Logan has been the complete opposite lately...
Barely walks at all. I'm just back from a big walk which took twice as long as it should have because he kept stopping.
What age did you start Max pulling Andy? Gonna be something I do with Logan when the time is right.

Yes sounds like a good long walk is definitely in order, have a game of kiss chase too.

You first have to see if they will pull at all, and dont mind the sound/feeling of something being dragged behind them, that can be done pretty early on with no weight, and in your garden type of thing (Max was a natural )
The only thing I would say mate before I say anymore on the subject, is I personally wouldnt even bother unless you have land, or an area out of the public eye to do it!! .. ppl only think one thing when they see a bull breed working unfortunately, and it would attract all the wrong negative attention

Re: Crazy dog!
True. There are a lot of fields around here etc and my parents have a decent sized garden. Mine is all decking etc so isn't much use for exercise.

Thanks for that bit of advice, Andy, because I want to try this with Loki when he's old enough...you know, since he loves pulling me so much
That's a shame, Ellie, Loki's been the opposite, so laidback that it worries me that he might explode randomly after luring me into a false sense of security . They do have their mad moments, but glad he's all settled now

Yeah the having private land thing is very important IMO
Is Loki about 10mths or so ? .. at that age you cant really do owt yet obviously, but at around 12-14mths you can attach a bit of rope to his harness with a pound or two on the end as a "toe in the water" type experiment .. tho DO NOT try to put anymore weight on if it goes well, you will do more harm than you realise, I must be clear about that!
Give me a shout in a few months if you or Matt need any help on the subject (not that I'm any kind of expert, but Max has come on very well , and so did my last puller )
