broken wrist :(
I'm such a numpty! Had a great walk with the girls on saturday, they were well behaved and not pulling, so I wasn't ready for it when they pulled towards a really interesting smell. I had both their leads looped over my right wrist.
After 6 hours in a&e and having a follow up appointment at the fracture clinic tomorrow morning I think I've learned my lesson

Oh dear! So dangerous that. And my old work always told us we MUST have the lead wrapped around our wrist. Total health hazard lol

Thanks:)
Lol I know Hayley, felt stupid at hospital telling them what happened. They told me they've seen it a few times. Left handed one finger typing now and I've cloncked the dogs a couple of times with the plaster

I can def emphasize.
I broke my hand falling of a motorbike 4-5 years ago and it's still sore, especially in the cold...
Needs plenty of rest.
Hope ya feel better soon!

Re: broken wrist :(
Thanks everyone. My daughter is going to help with the girls until its healed
I went to the fracture clinic this morning and saw the consultant. He asked what happened and said leads pulling on your wrist doesn't break it, it will be a sprain. Took the plaster cast off and referred me to physio.
Soo glad to have the cast off. It's flippin painful but 2 days with it on were enough of a pain in the butt. I did feel a bit stupid when he was talking to me, would have thought I had checked the x-ray and put the cast on myself

Re: broken wrist :(
A sprain is just as painful as a break but it should heal quicker! Result (sort off!) Xx

So glad it's not broken. A bit of pain I can deal with but the cast just got in the way of everything lol.

Re: broken wrist :(
They x-rayed it on sunday and said it was one of the small bones, difficult to see, but showing up where the pain was. The consultant just glamced at it today after saying a lead pulling ot wouldn't cause a break.Caryll wrote:Didn't they xray it at the A&E?
