Neem or tea tree? (demodex)
So my daisy is coming to the end of her treatment for demodex, one dip left and fingers crossed we get another clear scrape. She is a rescue and has a weak immune system through poor breeding so having this at 2 years old means she is always going to be prone to it coming back. The vet said you could say once she is clear she is in remission so it may or may not come back at any point.
I've been researching how to prevent this and it seems that neem and tea tree are good for keeping the mites at bay so I want to get some supplies in (a sort of emergency kit!!) shampoo, spray and cream. I was wondering if anyone is in a similar situation and could tell me which is best?
I also give her apple cider vinegar in her food and echinacea, which I'm planning to give 4 weeks on 4 weeks off, but would be grateful for any other tips or advise?
Thanks for reading x

Indeed. Some dogs can't tolerate it.
I've used Dermacton spray and currently pet nat skin conditioner spray abd will probably always use it.

Every dog has the Demodex mite, it only becomes a prob if the dogs immune system is compromised - which Is why it's a common puppy affliction.
Work on strengthening your dogs immune system through diet and / or supplements - And use the spray to assist in healing and prevention.

Re: Neem or tea tree? (demodex)
Like Jackieb has already said ... Try the Dermacton Spray as its been a god send to my little girl Sky who was going through a rough patch with her fur due to having mites (which she is over now !!) then having 2 ops straight after each other an her immune system was really low which shown up in her coat and skin abit ... My vet wanted to do skin scrapings, blood tests, skin biopsy which were running into hundreds of pounds UNTIL i done some research and found the Dermacton Spray which she's been on for approx 4 wks now an if you check out the pics i recently added (dermacton spray & viacutan plus).. you will see the difference the spray has done as its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial.. read up on it as it might help poor daisy ...

Re: Neem or tea tree? (demodex)
Well I have placed my order, dermacton spray and cream and ear drops (currently I use ones from the vet) but will give theirs a try. Given Daisy's 'delicate disposition'! I understand it's better to use natural products where possible. Thanks again for your advise guys, much appreciated.
Jackieb - I don't suppose you can recommend any supplements?
