Neem
Ella,
Do you know anything about neem? I've looked into it and from what I can tell feeding a bark supplement can help boost the immune system and using sprays/shampoos can be used for mites, fleas etc. Just wondering if it's something you know anything about? I did buy a shampoo for after Daisy finished her treatment for Demodex but haven't used it yet.
Also wasn't 100% if I should post in here as your the only one who has, if it's wrong move or delete!

Re: Neem
Is there any particular thing you are wanting to use it for, or are you just wanting to help boost immune system?
Neem you can use as an oil or powder/tablet form
You can make your own spray up using the oil mixed with water, or make your own neem shampoo by putting a few drops of the oil in some oatmeal shampoo
Externally it will help repel fleas and ticks, also helps treat them should your dog already have them, also known to treat manage.
You can feed your dog dried neem leaf or bark, or give the tablets. I don't know which is cheaper sorry!
dosage:
Also the one thing i do always remember haha!
**Neem is a very powerful natural contraceptive, so do not give to pregnant bitches, or dog/bitch that is planning to be bred from soon**

Internal supplementation
The typical rate of usage is 1/8 teaspoon of ground neem bark per 10 pounds twice a day for 30 days, then back down to one dose a day after that. That means a 12-pound Shih-Tzu would get an eighth of a teaspoon, a 40-pound Shar-Pei would get a half-teaspoon and a 120-pound Rottie would get 1.5 teaspoons. Some herbalists believe that patients should take a break every weekend or one week a month
Also the one thing i do always remember haha!

Re: Neem
Thanks Ella, was wondering about boosting the immune system and also as a repellant, also if at any point I thought she may have some demodex again was wondering if I could try using it to treat it, thanks for the info, that's brill
Thanks Jackieb, I will look into that too
I'm just a bit paranoid about the Demodex coming back She's malting and it's making me worry, even though I did a post and everyone said theirs were malting too!! She was so poorly, I'd hate to see her like that again and the chemical treatment was awful, that won't have done her immune system any good at all. I've been giving her ecchinacea powder, every other month but was wondering what else I can do to keep her strong, oooo that was a bit waffly, sorry!

Re: Neem
yes definitely make up a spray for her fur and skin if your worried about demodex!
I would also feed the powder or tablets, to help boost her immune system, as if it's low that can be a cause of demodex
anything else you wanted to know at all?
