Staffy Tattoos..

probably is a thread up already, sorry for a repost if so... Im going tomorrow for a staffy tattoo! it will be my 6th tattoo, will post up pictures when done! looking forward to it, as Ive always wanted to get one done, because I love the breed and my dog so much, hopefully going for a portrait like off my dog sam,

anyone else on here got any? if so can you please post up

look forward to seeing the pic , love something myself for my 2 but I'll never get round to it

there are a few people on here who have tattoos of their staffs. there was a thread on here once about it but that was WAAAAAAY ago.

Nice I want one of Loki but don't have any tattoos yet so want to get a small-ish one first, see how I do (hate needles). I saw one Loki's best friend's owner got of his dog and it was brilliant, so pics when you can

for those who are scared of the pain or needles... you can buy numb cream which you put on before.. its meant to be good stuff... Ive never used it, but I hear its good... I just go for the pain.... im HARD... joking lol, there is a few wee sore bits, but its all worth it!!!

not to long really 2hours first sitting and about 3hour second sitting

i drew this of romeo, its what i want tattooed to my upper left arm/ shoulder area
i'll have to ask the tattoo artist to make his manlyness a little more suttle i think.
the artists that i'm concidering having to do it cost between 700€-1500€

yeah one of my few skills that actually sometimes comes in handy. of course i want it in colour though. took me forever to decide what i wanted to do, i drew a few different somes before settling on this... i might do a second one of romeo too... just because it was a cute drawing

I use the numbing cream for blood tests (yes I'm a wimp), it's crap but I think I'd be OK with tattoo needles, they don't go into the skin very much like blood tests do. And Taryn, that drawing of Romeo is amazing, I envy you, I can't draw anything

the tattoos will be done to camera portrait quality art jobs. they are going to be stunning tattoos when i get them.

no no no... tattoos hurt more then blood tests for sure... blood test is quick... tattoos last forever, and the less needles used the mmore it hurts, so black feels like death!

For anyone worrying about the pain, dont.

Yes of course it can sting, but get some headphones in and all you have to do is say to yourself, no it doesnt hurt.

Makes it easier.

This was the most uncomfortable tattoo i've had, the bottom of the 'g' was agony but otherwise it was ok although I have had to have the bottom corner of the knot re-done and likely will again. I really want a black and white and that will probably be a portrait of ledger just waiting for that perfect picture and to source a good tattoo artist

I wouldn't say tattoos aren't sore, but agree head phones in and I can sit for a few hours lol ts kinda an enjoyable pain, because you know at the end your gonna have a gorgeous peice of art! Xx

mines nearly all healed up, was speaking to the man who done it, and hes wanting to add to it, maybe colour the ball in etc, an do a few other things!

damn this thread got me thinking, I got a portrait pic I like



so asked in my tattoo shop today, they asked me to email the image and they will get it onto photo paper Monday to see if the pic is of good enough quality and work out what size it would need to be for the detail, they reckon two sittings to get the shading right as I want it black and white

Thanks, as you can tell that one was taken as soon as it was done so looks more sore than it was, but I am just loving it, now he will always be by my side

I probably wouldn't ever get a tattoo - it just isn't me. But I like the look of them on others

I'll hopefully be getting a staffy tat soon. But I'm getting my first ever tattoo done tomorrow so I'll see how that goes first. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
