muzzle?

maybe you can help me, staffy are restricted dogs in ireland and must have muzzle all the time???walking him tonight and 2 garda stop me and telling me that my dog must have a muzzle because is a restricted dog....i told them sorry but is not a pittbull is a stafford but was the same answer.thx guys

I've just checked,they have to muzzled and walk on short lead by person over 16.

Does it have to be a certain type of muzzle ? Like could u use a soft one ? Or does it have to be a cage muzzle ?

I didn't know that Staffys had to be muzzled there, you learn something every day

It doesn't say what type of muzzle. And pitbulls are not restricted.

I don't think it matters, but the 'cage' or 'basket' ones are actually kinder as they allow full use of the mouth for panting/drinking.

i think i seen this before aswell, an it probally would be worth researching the laws just so you both are safe and nothing happens

yes i just search on google restricted dogs ireland and i found...anyway in the picture was a blue staff with his lipstick out very funny
