Renting with a dog..
Hey guys!
Didn't know if any of you that rent a house or flat with your dogs could lead me in the right direction.. As some of you may know I've been in a bit of sticky situation recently and time is running out, am in need of finding a new house to rent within the next month! Finding it really difficult to find anywhere that accepts dogs and am starting to get desperate..
Looking in Exeter if that's any help!

My housing association allows dogs. They are called Places For People, link below if needed:

You may need to have your name down for a while though.

Re: Renting with a dog..
Have you had a look through the paper? A private landlord may be more willing if you can to chat to them about it. Good luck Xx

Re: Renting with a dog..
Speak to your vets, maybe someone has lost their pet and will foster until you find the right home for you both, no family or friends can help? dog warden is also a useful contact with fostering as well, take care and good luck

Re: Renting with a dog..
Hi ,we 're renting as well. At first our landlord said we can't have any pets. We gave it a try any whey,we asked him before we got Debo, saying that he only is going to be left in the cage when left alone, when the tenacy is over we are going to clean the carpets, maybe offer to pay more deposit? We renting with agency but had the chance to asked the landlord in person. So if you have a chance to find a private flat it's better. Good luck

Re: Renting with a dog..
I was in a rented house when I rescued Izzy..some landlords have an issue with them being in the house but because I had my own furniture it was fine
As long as you tell them that you have a dog when you're inquiring/ applying for a house they should be fine with it
Good Luck!

Re: Renting with a dog..
I hope you get something for you and your dog I agree with speaking to landlords and really sell your dog and yourself as a responsible owner , offer to pay a larger deposit to show how confident you are that know damage will occur ?

Re: Renting with a dog..
This is so difficult we have had to put off getting a pup for this reason, finding a rental private property with a pet is so difficult in my area. Also finding a property with a reasonble garden for a pup we have ended up moving back to fiance's mums farm so there will be no issue's now.

Re: Renting with a dog..
I rent privately and he had no problem with pets so a private landlord may be the best option
