I don't find anything wrong with horse meat, infact i think that the state of overbreeding we could do with more slaughter houses that take horses. But for it to not go in circles they either have to say "we wont pay for these horses " so people dont overbreed to make money, or say that only horses with a license like cows may be slaughtered.

because i have not had a burger for like 8 years, i never had a ready meal that why have not
Re: who been eating horse
I doubt it. I haven't eaten beef, lamb or pork for about 25 years, and I stopped eating meat completely about 15 years ago.

Re: who been eating horse
Nope. I have Coeliac disease and almost every ready meal has gluten in, so chances are no horse for me. I'm with Hayley though, I don't really see anything wrong with it if horse meat were legal for us to eat (though I probably wouldn't eat it), but they should say what it's in

They eat every type of animal all over the world unless it is deadly poisonous, and even then try try to eat it. I don't eat meat, but i don't see how one animal has any more rights that another. They all have equal rights to me and it would be hypocritical to me to say "you can't eat such n such because..." but okay to say "you can eat a cow cause thats what it is for"
This theory stops at the way animals are raised though. I don't agree with the chinese eating dogs that get penned up 24/7 and just fed, that is cruel. It is in par with pigs who are brought up that way, and it is done here in UK so basically we are the same as them only we don't keep pet pigs. But in tribes they DO keep pet pigs and they treat them very much like dogs and walk them and sleep with them and play with them but in the end yes, sometimes they kill and eat them (however not all the time as a lot are used to sniff out roots and mushrooms etc, just like a dog would be). But at least they know that that pig has had a very happy life and the happiness from the pig tranferes into them. Treat it well and it will reward you. Its all karma.

I was actually eating a findus lasagne when it came on the news that it was confirmed horse meat, I just carried on eating and it tasted nice from start to finish. I seriously don't think the horse meat will have the time to kill me lol

That's one of the problems apart from it being misrepresented. Horses get jabs and painkillers that can harm humans and if they are slaughtered illegally or backhanders no one knows what's actually in the meat. That's why there's needs to be stricter regulations on them

Do you think they would just call it a McHorse or think of something a little more inventive ??

Now I have digested horse DNA does this mean I will be saddled with the ability to run faster? Or will I Maine-ly develop a taste for hay? Would it be wise to just be blinkered to it all?
