Breed Record Supplement Question

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not...

Does anyone know what the AP numbers after the dogs registered name mean?

I am not 100% but I think it refers to the supplement your dog will appear in ?

I'm not sure at all tbh. Logan is in it and there are all different numbers for other dogs.

It refers to the BRS your dog appears in - which quarter & year.

So AP1 then would mean he would have been in the first one of last year then. I only started getting them too so I've missed that one

You can order it online, but I don't know if the AP1 would be quoted?

I'm not sure at all tbh. I'll maybe just phone them and ask as you said. It's probably not worth much me having it really but i like to keep all his wee things together lol.

I've got Dempsey's - it's a nice thing to have as a memento.

Looking at Dempsey's, though, I'm a little confused. His pedigree says AK2, but the BRS he's in says AK3/3. So, what I think it is, is that the letters/numbers after his name are where the breeder has registered the litter, and then a further BRS has the transfer to your name.

I think that sounds right. The BRS I have here is AP3/4 where he is in the transfer of ownership, yet his name is followed by AP1 where I assume he is registered.

It's worth having. I have a collection of his papers and photos of some of his relatives and it's nice to look at.
