Question.
So we went on our forth walk with Bruno, had him on the training lead and he jumped up this man, the man kicked and hit Bruno to get him away, my b.f challenged the man obviously and it nearly resulted in a fight which is more than likely, my question is will this effect Bruno with strangers as he put his back up after with a few other people or will he forget? Bruno is not hurt luckily.

Re: Question.
He's young and will forget, no excuses for what the stupid man did to a puppy though.

Re: Question.
I doubt it'll affect him, and what the man did was wrong, but you really shouldn't let him jump up at people - it doesn't bother me, but it does bother a lot of people.

Re: Question.
If you forget it he will. We had it when Rolo was young, I had a lady walk out of a bush literally!! And start trying to beat him with her umbrella, shouting and screaming... he hadn't even gone to her, he was just bimbling along with my other dog. She got told exactly what I thought of her. We've also had 2 people on bikes try attacking him. Both times he was on lead with me, the first person kicked him as she cycled past, the second guy nearly rode into him and did actually hit my old collie... unfortunatly for him that day my partner was with me.... I doubt he'll ever try it again... to any dog!!, still loves people he has no fear or worry... sadly I'm over protective of him now, and i'm constantly aware of who and what is around. But he'll be fine, and so will you ><

Re: Question.
He will forget it but it's always best to make sure the person is okay with dogs before letting them introduce themselves.

Re: Question.
He should be fine as long as you don't let it scare you on future walks Just try and forget that silly man, but as others have said don't let him jump on strangers, try to be in control of initial meetings

He'll be fine as long as you don't get worried about it on future walks, they can pick up on your stress, so try to stay relaxed. Also, don't let him jump up on people. Some people don't like it, so it's best to work on training him not to, especially since there are some ridiculously stupid people as you've unfortunately discovered.

Re: Question.
I apologise before hand but I never even seen the * coming, when joggers or oldies walk past we pull the lead in, the bitter old twisted swine should know better.
Bruno is not going out today as he's resting, if it does not effect him it does not effect me.

Re: Question.
The man was obviously an idiot, and it was a horrible thing to do. It won't effect Bruno though as he is still very young and all he will be thinking is play, play, play.
When Logan was very young he jumped up on a man's trousers getting them dirty and I was totally embarrassed. He was very young and knew no better but ever since then I've been a lot more careful.

Re: Question.
Yep, I will be more careful in the future, it's a shame such people exist.

Re: Question.
There are some real idiots out there mind, attacking a pup for playfully jumping up? sure the dog will be ok though. Theres an old saying "if you own a fighting dog, you best be a fighting man!" not that our dogs need to be fighting dogs its just some peoples reactions towards them is outrageous at times and we have little choice but to stick up for them. Sad really. . .

Re: Question.
I am not sure why he done it, maybe he hates the breed or maybe he hates dogs but in my opinion he should not be in a park that has lots of dogs then.
