Back from the vet
We saw a different vet (same surgery) and we decided to separate out his jabs so he only had c3 today an will go in next week for the kennel cough component.
Watching him for any reactions so far so good

Re: Back from the vet
are you planning on putting him in kennels? They dont need the KC jab unless he is going into boarding kennels i think.

Re: Back from the vet
KC should be vaccinated for whether going into kennels or not but if you are boarding then it is a must. KC is not caught from going into kennels and can be quite serious as it is contagious Xx

Re: Back from the vet
Just booked Bacchus into kennels for when we go to Dubai at Easter. He has had his other jabs but the kennels insist on Kennel Cough vaccine so will have to get that done asap. as they prefer the jab to be done at least 2 weeks before going in.

It isn't a jab, by the way! They squirt it up their nostrils!

Re: Back from the vet
It is not a core vaccine here either, it is recommended but is up to you if you want it done.. The vaccines available only immunize against a few of the strains and there are over 40 different strains.. If you are planning on spending a lot of time at dog beaches or off leash parks then it is something you should consider. But do some research 1st and then decide if you think it is worth it..

Our policy was 10days before it, if they didn't have it 10days before they were put in quarantine until 10days was up (from the squirt) or not accepted into the kennel.

No panic then as we don't go away until Easter. Will probably have him done sooner rather than later though.
