Why are some people so ignorant?

Ok so I took my maxi moo shine out on his regular walk today, everything went great until....

Until I saw in the distance a lady walking down with her dog ( which by the way wasn't on the lead )
I carried on walking in the hope that she could see me with max, and also notice that he has a muzzle on but NOPE she clearly was blind or to darn selfish to see that, I asked her politely if she could please put her dog on the lead.. " no " she replied, with words to follow " my dog is well behaved unlike yours " I stood there in shock! Me thinking oh well sod it and carried on walking, she then went on to say " that ANIMAL should be killed, it shouldn't be roaming the streets, one day you'll get bitten, this breed of ANIMAL is a nusensce " I was like < quite literally!
All the in the meantime her dog wouldn't leave max alone, it wasn't being aggressive but it made max very uncomfortable, I asked her to take her dog away, she kept saying " nothing wrong with my dog, it's yours that horrible to mine " max was just stood there being all stiff... That's the sign to me that he's gona launch at the dog
I just walked away...


Firstly my dog IS NOT roaming the streets :/ he is on a leash at all times.
And to be killed? Jesus I feel sorry for the dog that she owns!!
It really does make me mad that some people could be so heartless or more so just ignorant, I LOVE all breeds of dogs, I only have a slight issue with one breed, the jack Russell, they seem to be my nemesis only because I been bit quite badly by one, but I'm not running to every jack Russell owner and say harsh words just because I'm not keen on them, I'll still pet one and be nice to one....

Sounds like you were way too calm with this woman , I certainly wouldn't have been , and think I would be suggesting I was going to be removing the muzzle to allow my dog to defend itself

Ignorance & stupidity.

Unfortunately, when you own a stafford (or any bull breed, believe me) you will come across both!

Those people make me so mad they haven't got a clue what fantastic dogs staffies are As for the jack russel i'm always wary of them. Only 2 dogs have had a bit of a go at Katy & guess what they were both russels !!!!!

There are some miserable buggers out there . Just ignore them and moan to us

It's ridiculous!
When I lived in London I got it a lot!! People where that scared/stupid they would walk on the road just the avoid Max.
The last straw was when I got robbed ( max being with me at the time ) made me grab my things and move to Yorkshire at my mums,
And trust me if I hadent of had commence sense to walk away I could of started on her!
I got home and just looked at max and started bowling my eyes out and hugged him cos the thought of someone taking him away from me, it genuinely saddens me, people like that and their attitude probably doesn't help max in the slightest with his aggression...

Brush it off as ignorance, what a complete spoon. You do meet them though sadly and I think we always will! All you can do is educate, and you do get your chances and when you do it feels sooo good! XxXXx

Well despite the hic up with Max's attitude I couldn't ask for a better doglit!
Despite what people think of him they don't know his true colours and how he really is a kind, loveable and just sweet natured dog he really is!
And also the fact that he's been there for through thick and thin and always knows when in down and comes for snugs

ive raised myself above peoples opinions of staffys from now on i could not care what they say. As long as i know what they are like thats enough for me

yep!! thats exactly how i pretty much am, but sometimes i need a little rant hehe

i know how you feel. so have some one tell you your dog should die simply because of the way it looks really breaks your heart. Romeo is my baby, my everything, and when i hear things like that i think : you dont see me going up to people with naughty kids or kids that are a bit ugly saying " your children should die" because that would be psycho wouldnt it now, and that what i think of the people who have their two cents about my Romie
