cracked nail
One of Mani's nails broke off from the quick so had to take him to the vet to clip off the bit that isn't attached. Yikes! He was a good boy about it and seems much more relaxed about it now, while it was still attached he wouldn't stop licking. This was a new vet who praised us on how fit Mani looks.
Question: how long until Mani can start playing again? We bought a little booty for him to wear while playing but don't want to push it.

Re: cracked nail
When Moo has previously split hers I usually leave it 5/7 days before proper playing but she was walked with a bandage and a waterproof covering. Hope it heals quick Xxx

Re: cracked nail
Couldn't get the booty on as he wouldn't stop trying to pull it off but we went to a doggy date anyway.
There were of us: Mani, an adult male chow, a toy dog (pekingese?), and a 14 week old staff/dober/mastiff cross. Mani was well behaved for 90% of the hour and a half we were there. He played a bit rough w/ the puppy, but she kept coming back for more so it was all right. The chow didn't play no matter how much Mani ran at him barking and jumping up and down. He didn't take well to strange dogs appearing and meeting his new pack, though. Is this normal? Overall, very pleased with him and I think a good ambassador to the breed.
