Wainwrights Trays Empty Wainwrights Trays

Post by Staffy lover Fri Feb 01 2013, 10:09

Two days ago I went to Pets at Home, to stock up with Wainwright Trays for Pixee. Yesterday I noticed the feeding guide has changed, and I am some what shocked, it use to be for medium dogs, 1/3 to 3/4 daily feed, now its 11/2 to 2 trays daily feed, surely this is a mistake?

I'll have a look at that later, we've been feeding Ella 1 and half a day but with the treats and kibble she goes through she has put a bit of timber on (19.2Kilo at 15 1/2 inch)
so she is down to 1 tray a day now a few biscuits and no treats, she seems to be happy with that.

I'd just carry on with what you've always fed in the past. If it looks like Pixie's losing a bit of weight then you can always step it up.

Just found the feeding guide for Wainwrights tray food. it doesn't give the dogs weight though just a general size:

Feeding Guide (approximate per day)

Toy - 1/4 - ½, Small - 1/2 - 1 ¼, Medium - 1 1/4 – 2, Large - 2 -3, Giant - 3 - 4 ½.

May be an idea to contact Wainwrights directly and see what they say.

I have been buying those for Mia. I got some yesterday from PAH and noticed they had come down in price from £1·15 to 89p. Makes a change for something to come down in price lol

Wainwrights Trays Empty Re: Wainwrights Trays

Okay, sorry for the delay in replying, been so busy....

Heres what the feeding guides were,
small 5 - 12kg daily feed in trays 1/4 - 1/3
Medium 12kg -25kg daily feed in trays 1/3 - 3/4
Large 25kg - 45kg daily feed in trays 3/4 - 1
Giant 45 - 70kg daily feed in trays 1 - 2

Now those are the new ones,
Toy up to 5kg daily feeds in trays 1/4 - 1/2
Small 5 - 10kg daily feeds in trays 1/2 - 1 1/4
Medium 10 - 25kg daily feeds in trays 1 1/4 - 2
Large 25 to 40kg daily feeds in trays 2 - 3
Giant 40 - 70kg daily feed in trays 3 - 4 1/2

As you can see, theres a big difference. Now today I have been up, as I was not getting my emails replied to!!!!!!!!!!!! The assisant manager, said as the food itself has not changed, stick to what I have been feeding as normal. Now a new comer, would go by those new guide lines and end up fatting their dogs angry Also please see another new thread on Wainwrights, very important!
