Wainwrights
Hi all,
We kept our puppy on beta which the breeder adviced, we still have quarter of a bag left so I am going to keep him on that until it runs out, thing is I have read some bad stuff about beta so I am thinking of getting wainwrights next and was wondering if it's any good or the same as beta, also if I do change I read I have to do this slowly and was wondering how to do this,
Many thanks

Re: Wainwrights
Wainwrights is better than Beta and you should gradually change it over in the space of a week. I'm currently changing Zeus's food from Wainwrights to Fish4Puppies (not because theres anything wrong with Wainwrights but just because I personally think Fish4Puppies is a better food) and I am doing it over a week.

Re: Wainwrights
It's a good, mid-price food.
If you're going to change, I'd start now & gradually swap over from the Beta. Just slightly reduce the Beta & add a little Wainwrights, and gradually decrease one & increase the other.

Re: Wainwrights
Wainwrights is one of the better ones to choose from. Just gradually add a little of the new food to the old one and increase the amount of new food. Should take about a week to ten days to change over.

Re: Wainwrights
advice as above , I bought it for both f ours from the start puppy and adult and no problems , it's a very good food for the price , just changing over now to fish4dogs because its better , but a little more expensive and Tilly eventually got bored of her wainwrights and Tommy is following

Re: Wainwrights
Hi we are picking our pup up in two weeks and want to give him the best start and of course that includes his food, i have been reading with interest about fish4dogs and it sounds like very good stuff , i came across this as well http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/fish-4-dogs-sos-salmon-oil_1_155128.html
Would adding this oil to a cheaper puppy food have the same effects ? or am i barking ( excuse the pun ) up the wrong tree .

I have used this with Zeus ever since I had him up (8 weeks) up until now (8 months) and he always gets complimented on how nice and shiny his coat is so its worth a go, but its not exactly going to make the cheaper puppy food any better.

Re: Wainwrights
As above.
My 2 are on Wainwrights.
My latest pup was on beta and it is crappy food. Soon as we got him home I threw the bag in the bin that the breeder gave us and put him straight on Wainwrights n never looked bk x
