new member after advice
hi guys, my next door neighbour has got a lovely english bull, he has been giving his dog a product called "bully max", dont know if anyone has heard of it, been reading up about it and trying to find negative reviews and bad reports, cant seem to find anything but good things, im only interessted in the immune system advantages and health gains, not really interessted in the muscle gains, but would never give him anything without asking experts first, cheers

I've not heard of it, but I feed raw, so I'm not likely to. If you like, I'll post on the bully forum I'm a member of & see if anyone there's heard of it.

It's the general shortening for English Bull Terrier, but is also sometimes used for any of the bull breeds.

Re: new member after advice
A bully dog is an affectionate term for any dog that has a predominance of English bulldog in its bloodlines. Bulldogs were developed in England to fight bulls for the now-banned sport of bull baiting. They are the foundation for several other breeds, all of which are bred to be gentle with people but are often aggressive with other dogs.

Re: new member after advice
Looking on the web site, it just looks like a vitamin/mineral supplement. What concerns me is that it is a little misleading. Although the ingredients are fine, they'll only work if you give your dog extra exercise, so I doub they're any better than other vitamin/mineral supplements on the market which are probably a lot cheaper - I'll let you know if I hear anything from the bully forum.

yeah thats what i was thinking, alf was on bob martn vits while he was a pup up untill about 2 months ago and was just looking into things now as hes getting bigger, i put him on the mail weighing scales in work yesterday and hes 19kg at 13 and half months with not alot of fat on him, hes on bakers mostly, with hearts, or ox livers as a treat once a week ish, but he will eat allmost anything, banana, orange, raw carrots , fish, pasta rice, and a good hour/hour and half walk a day,

Aaaagghhh! Get him off the Bakers if you can, it's full of additives & colourings/flavourings! Have a look at some of the other dry food, or even better, raw. There's a topic under health & nutrition that discusses the various dry foods, and they're all better than Bakers!
Here's the link for the dry food....

Re: new member after advice
Just had a post on the bully site.
Basically they've said steer clear, it does exactly the same as a good diet & plenty of the right exercise will do, but costs a helluva lot more!
