Australian Dog Laws
Is there any important things i should know about the laws regarding dogs in Australia. such as where and where not dogs can go... and do you really have to pay to have a dog in australia every year?
Here dogs are allowed in cafés, bars, malls, on busses, trains, trams and taxis.
Dogs are not allowed to go into places that have a no dog sign. if there is no 'no dog' sign, then dogs are allowed. public beaches do not allow dogs here.
any useful things on dogs in Australia would be really useful.

Re: Australian Dog Laws
Probably best to check with the local Council on dog friendly areas, such as parks & beaches were you can take Romeo

Re: Australian Dog Laws
Our council has a once off life time registration of $150 for entire dogs or $40 for desexed.
Dogs are not allowed in most places here, schools, malls, children's playgrounds and food places are a definite no no. Some beaches are "dog beaches" and there are signs to let you know either way.
This is NSW but you might be able to find SA info through them

Re: Australian Dog Laws
Here if there is a dog friendly sign, which there isn't many, they can go in.. Everywhere else assume they are not or ask first..
Urban Animal magazine is quite informative about places and beaches to go. We have quite a few public beaches and bays/ rivers etc wherre dogs are allowed..
As for the laws we are governed by the Companion Animals Act, this is the SA Legislation
