New Rescue Empty New Rescue

Post by Guest Mon Jan 28 2013, 10:58

I've got myself a good task to keep me busy in between quiet times in the office.

My Mum called round to my house on Saturday evening and out of the blue said she would love a dog of her own. We had two rescues when I lived at home a few years back, but they both passed away at 14 years old.

I've been harping on about getting another dog but she felt she couldn't handle two, as she looks after Logan whilst I'm at work. This is nonsense however because she is more than capable, and can look after dogs as well as any of us.

She would need a small dog though because she is only a wee woman. Logan would be too strong for her to walk etc. I'm thinking a small female, possibly older and wiser. Something she can carry into the shops.

Sooo, I get the fun task of hunting through the rescue websites to find her a new friend Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Ahhh bless her, good luck in your search hope you find something suitable.

Maybe have a word with the rescue centre and see if they can make any recommendations as to which breed would be best.

I think I will have to do that Kathy. I'll maybe bring Logan too if possible and see how he handles it. He is good with most dogs though. As long as it was a small dog I think I would have no problem that way.

From the centres I searched this morning they mostly seem to be inundated with Border Collies, which really wouldn't suit my Mum at all.

An older female Stafford may work too haha.
