Stupid owner
I just got back from my folks walking the field way with Blondy and this stupid owner with a fluffy maltese walked past us and his maltese just full blown attacked Blondy she flew through the air terrified and hid behind my legs, he didn't even say anything no apologies nothing, then i lost it said she's only a pup for %*@$ sake what the hell is wrong with you, Train your damn dog, I completely lost it and he deserved it, Im really sick of these people who think the sun shines outa their dogs %$* because their small and fluffy like wtf is wrong with these people. I'm trying my damned hardest to bring my lot up as nice as possible to rid them of the stereotypical d%*£s and yet i'm surrounded by $%*holes, It's just getting harder and harder to socialise and bring my lot up nicely.
Blondy is fine for the time being besides her back being covered in mud from where she tried to roll over submissively.
Venting over really bad day today.

MissR, some people just haven't a clue, I think owning a strong breed makes you more aware of there potential, which is needless to say walking a rat/ankle biter hasn't the same/if not more agression. Just be calm, peoples attitude never changes

I wish i had stayed calm cause now i bet he think i was another hoody$%& with a powerful breed. I wouldn't care what breed i had i'd still try my damned hardest and they just don't seem bothered at all.

Re: Stupid owner
They never do, where I walk Moo are a lot of older people and there dog is there life/retirment and are oh so willing to pull there dogs away when there's sniff Moo, but generally there recall is pants, I let them smell and when they start to panic a little click and Moo is by my heal, aswell as there dog!! Have met a various disgruntled owners a lot of the time. And purely its because she is a staff. Ultimatly, I still appologise for the walkers headphones she broke!!!

Re: Stupid owner
but why are we always the (ones those with bully breeds) who have to slip in mud and fall on our backsides to avoid conflict with other owners other than dig our heels in when it comes to training and looking after our dogs and their well being, you know just by looking at the owners they sit on their fat a*&es while we're training and bending over backwards and worrying like crazy if our dogs show any sign of inappropriate behaviour because of the *&£$s who give our dogs bad names. Going out for the final walk tonight now if i meet someone like the other guy its not my dogs their guna have to worry about.

Ah, Claire. Welcome to the world of ignorant blinkered twerps.
You really ought to try to ignore them. Do what I did just before Christmas when a lady with a GSD pup really got my back up. Instead of shouting I said, rather too sweetly "Merry Christmas, I hope your dog gets a better owner for its present!"

Arr, arr, arr
I know what you mean though, like two nights ago I was walking my girls and there is this idiot who lives in the block next to ours with a little black collie X. He knows his dog always goes for mine yet he walks it around with no lead and doesn't even attempt to call it when it storms over to Skib and Tal. Now Skibadee has been DA in the past and doesn't really mix well with other dogs unless she gets to know them, Tali isn't really fussed about anything but always sticks up for her mum.
Because I had Meg who is 18years old (JRT) I knew I couldnt walk fast and stay out of his way (she walks at snails pace) so I stopped and called my girls over. Started fiddling with the leads whilst holding the two stafford's collars. His dog started coming over and we were in a pitch dark field, so I warn Skiba and Tali to behave but cannot block the other dog because I still havn't got the leads on them. Shout to him to get his dog who keeps stalking over, staring out Skibadee (not a good idea). Then Skibadee pulled out of my grip (my heart was thumping at this point thinking she would hurt his dog) luckily her recall is 100% so after a stare-out she came back to my side. As she started to come back Tali thought I had let her go (desperate for a run after me being at work all day) and sprang forward to run around the field. I still had hold of her, felt something tear in my arm and saw stars! I went to the doctor yesterday and I haev torn the whole of my tricep brachii, my arm is 3 x size of normal and black and purple (I knew Tali was strong but...). Lucky for his dog both of mine came to me after some pain-influenced cursing and sat by my feet so I could shoo away his dog.
Now I can't go to the gym, gymnastics, ride my horse or anything for at least two weeks and I shouted at my dogs just because this a-hole couldnt call his ratbag back. It has actually gone for Tali in the past aswell and Ive had to pull it off her. I know where your coming from Claire because I've had my fair share of irrisponsible owners destroy my walks, and people are all too quick to blame the bull breeds thats why we usually end up apologising. Its not right...

Ouch, well he really managed to f-up your life for a bit, what a muppet, some people shouldn't have the right to own a dog. Hope it heals quick for you, I'd go round and give him a poece of my mind.

Re: Stupid owner
Well it doesn't really hurt that much just aches, it just looks horrible! Im taking an ibruprofen as and when I remember but its just the inconvienience of it. I like to get out and do things in the evenings like agility training and swimming and I cant! feel like a caged lion already and only been 2 days!
I would go round and say something but the guy is so stupid and dopey he probably wont even knwo what im on about. next time i see him though im gna shout at him to put his dog on a lead before it even gets close. Its stupid I just feel sorry for the dog, whats gna happen when it runs across the main road by our estate because he cant call it back? Ignorance is the correct expression i think!
