Re: play fight or agressive behaviour?
we have 2 dogs one male one female and they play very rough. Rough enough for them to dig each others cheeks and necks till they are bleeding sometimes. The vet said its normal for 2 staffies to play like that i try and control them but its not easy

I would agree , you should be taking note of the body language. A few times now my 2 have flown at each other and there is a massive difference

My 2 are always playing and a lot of the time it ends in teeth showing and growling etc. staffs are known to be loud when play fighting. Scarlet has got a few little cuts on her from Diesel but i dont think she even notices them lol. Just make sure you keep an eye on body language and intervene when necessary as its probs a dominance thing between them

Re: play fight or agressive behaviour?
sounds like playing to me albeit rough play. You would know if they were fighting properly as there is a massive difference and they don't seperate easy

Sounds like play to me but it's all about body language. Here is a link that should help.

When in doubt seperate them. If you get a second you should always introduce them on neutral ground and make sure they are tired out before going home. Also don't pay more attention to the new dog than you do your current dog.
