NO I WON'T!!!

Background: Maddie had a walk this morning, was left while we went shopping, and a walk this afternoon.
We had our tea (not very dog-friendly so she had to resort to her own food ) then I got myself all bundled up for a final walk. I put Maddie's coat on, and her canny collar and off we set...

... I dragged her to the corner of the street and she kept looking round. I started to jog as she loves to run and she trotted along somewhat reluctantly. I stopped (I am not exactly built for running!) and Maddie turned round and stared the way we had come. I thought 'maybe she wants to go the other way' and let her walk me back. She marched up to our front door and waited. I let her in and she banged on the living room door with her paw until I let her in. She has sat in her bean bag without a squeak ever since. It wasn't THAT cold, and she had her coat on.

I get the impression Maddie didn't want a walk

Anyone else's dog refuse to go out in the cold?

Dempsey just refuses to go out - point blank. He's a lazy sod.

Our old Staffy used to hate the wind and rain, though!

Dempsey will go out in just about any weather, but only because he has to! Bandit, though, wouldn't step foot outside the door voluntarily if it was raining and windy!

Dempsey likes to refuse. He hasn't yet realised that resistance in futile.

Maddie hates rain too, she won't go out in the garden in the rain. She will go on walks though, just.
My parents' doberman once managed 22 hours without going outside because it was raining. She would have lasted longer but my mum dragged her into the garden

Blue will go out in a blizard if it's a walk however if you ask him to go in the garden to relieve himself and it's spitting you have no chance

Mani won't go out when it's raining, but is happy to swim for 30 minutes or more in near freezing water looking for sticks and balls. Go figure?

Ledger I've worked out doesn't like cold water falling on his back and would refuse point blank to go out or turn around as soon as he had relieved himself he does the same if someone around the park has a bonfire/bbq. Put his warm neck covering coat on tonight as it was snowing and he happily went out but was adamant that we were taking a certain direction (odd as it wasn't a route we have ever been before)

Loki would NEVER go out in the rain, damp, cold, wind, etc. Now he loves his walks so much that he doesn't mind, which is funny because we once got caught in a storm, pouring down, so I expected it to have traumatised him, but he got used to bad weather and decided to accept it because there's no escaping it

Our 2 usually bang on the door to go for a walk not the other way round

Rocky doesn't mind going out in any kind of weather, if it's lashing it down with rain he does want to have his coat put on. We go in the car to the park and he loves being in the car anyway so not bothered by any weather conditions. He loved his walk in the snow this morning.

Moo hates the rain, but she will go out whether she likes it or not, most days I'm at work so she has to go out when its scheduled, cruel mummy me

Cassie will go out for a walk for hours in any weather although she isn't too sure of the wind, i think that may change when she finally works out that when it rains she gets dirty then she gets rinsed in the shower, she is still giving me the evil eyes from this afternoons walk and rinse lol.

Lola hates the rain whereas Lily is an all weather dog. Lily refuses to wear a coat so she must be quite tough!

Steff loves the bath, shower, hose, pool, river and any muddy puddles but REFUSES to go out in the rain

Yuo sure she's feeling ok? Maybe she was just tired....

Thanks for asking She was back to her old tricks the next day and is as bouncy and stubborn as ever
