Cairo wont poo :(

Cairo hasnt been to the toilet properly since wednesday.She is going for a wee,eating and drinking fine,but she wont poo.She did nothing all day yesterday,apart from the tinyest soft ammount last night,but today she wont even attempt to go.Shes not straining or anything.Im not sure if she could be stressed because of the builders being here i took her for a big run this morning incase it was because of the rubbish in the garden,but still nothing.Ive given her a tin of oily fish to see if it loosens her up to see if she goes later.Has anyone got any advice? Im thinking of taking her to the vets later because of it

Always had the opposite with Moo so I really wouldn't know

Poor Cairo! Like Janey I normally have the opposite problem!!
I'd suggest the vet, as its been a while now, they might be able to give a laxative but I'm only guessing!

If the fish doesn't work, I'd ask the vet for a laxative. As you say, it could be stress & if it is, she'll be right as rain once it's all over.

It could be due to the stress. If the oily fish doesn't work I think I would take a trip to the vet just to get it checked out.

I am happy to say she went properly this morning i had a good tidy up,moved everything back to where it should be before the builders came.Gave her dinner yesterday and tucked her up in her bed.I took her out early this morning and thankfully she did go normally.So im pritty sure it was stress related.And i no how she feels!

How is Cairo doing now?

a bit of cod liver oil on the food help just a cap full once or twice a week

Thats great that she's better Can understand why she would be stressed. The last time I had workmen in the house I went to work and left my daughter to deal with it

Strange what stress can do. Last year, when my daughter was taking her AS level exams she didn't go to the toilet for 6 days!
