Weird Peeing Issue
Hi all,
Troy stays at my mothers home with my brothers dog (Bison) through the week while I am at work, as there is someone that lets them out for a run midday.
Troy has been staying there for months now with no issues at all, but all of a sudden he has started marking the same corner in the living room, though he doesn't do it all the time.
He never, ever cocks his leg at my house no matter how long he is left. It is definitely not a bladder issue / not being able to hold etc. The only change I can tell you is that next door there is a new neighbour that has 2 dogs.
Is there any possibility that it is the sound (barking) of the other dogs making him mark at all or any other explanations?
Any tips of getting rid of the scent so he doesn't mark also would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I think you've answered your own question! I'd say it's definitely the new dogs!
A solution of biological washing powder / liquid will get rid if the smell, and hopefully he'll get used to the dogs being there soon.

Thanks for the replies.
He has met the two dogs before but it wasn't a nice meeting. They are two Alsations and 1 seems aggressive. I wasn't there at the time but my Mom let Troy and Bison out (year old Lab) into the garden and the male Alsation was there growling on the other side of the fence. It the jumped the fence and starting attacking Bison so Troy jumped on its neck and they had to pull him off.
So, not the best of introductions.

Oh dear, I think your new neighbours are going to have to control their dogs!

Yeah. I believe he is going to build a 6ft fence. We have never seen them walk the dogs since they have moved it so maybe they are frustrated and full of energy.

Re: Weird Peeing Issue
Yeah sounds like its because of the other dogs. I mean if I got attacked while I was having a wee in the garden I would find somewhere else to go. Just ask the wife, I haven't done it again

Haha.
Well I don't think its that, Troy is fearless. I'm guessing when he hears them barking next door it works him up and he starts marking.
