Sudocrem
After mentioning this on another post, I thought I'd bring it up in here.
Does any one else use sudocrem or E45 cream on their dog?
When Molly hurt her eye we also mentioned to the vet her dry scabby patches on her legs, he said because she has white fur on some areas she is going to have a few problems and to use sudocrem or E45 on them before walks.
You know, sudocrem is a miracle cream! Her legs are virtually perfect again, she's also get an almost rash on her chest that has cleared up after putting sudocrem on it. She's got a few what look like sores from where her old collar has rubbed, I'm going to put some sudocrem on those too and see if they clear up. It's a pain to try and get it onto her, she's not keen on having it rubbed into her legs, but she'll quite happily lay on her back whilst I 'massage' her chest with the stuff.
Best thing is, when I get sunburnt again, we'll have sudocrem in the house for Molly, which I'll end up borrowing!

Re: Sudocrem
I was going to use savlon, but we had none in, and when the vet suggested sudocrem I felt like an idiot for not trying it sooner! Seemed so obvious.

Re: Sudocrem
The thing about sudocrem is that it's good for the dogs and us! It's brilliant for little scrapes or burns.

Re: Sudocrem
Sudocreme is amazing! I use it on me, my neices/nephew, my dogs. It is so underestimated but gets rid of rashes, spots, blemishes etc. It also has antibaterial properties so great for open sore bits like harness rubs etc.

Re: Sudocrem
On Billy's neck at the back where the vet put the worming paste, he is going a bit thin and there are a couple of small bumps, maybe a reaction to the paste, should I put a bit on that and see what happens?

Re: Sudocrem
ive found it to be quite good with to help heal skin where there has been a reaction. one of my dogs is allergic to insect bites and although sudocreme doesnt actaully stop the reaction it does keep skin nice and supple and prevents cracking and hair loss. so yes it shouldnt do any harm to apply it on his neck.
