Took Loki to the field today and he's been doing so well on the long line with his recall, I decided to take a leap of faith and let him off the lead (armed with a load of roast chicken). He came back as soon as I called him every single time except once Big Grin. The except once is because he ran down the hill where the people over the fence seem to throw out things that smell wonderful to dogs Rolling Eyes so I put him back on the lead for a bit after that and went to the other side so he wouldn't be tempted to go back down there. He was so happy Smile running without any restrictions is much more fun than running on a lead, no matter how long it is. We even had a bit of a game of chase, so he was a happy dog. More importantly, he's a well-behaved dog, taking a nap Laughing. Just had to share the great progress that his recall is improving again.

It's a great feeling when it all comes together, very pleased that Loki is doing so well.

That's a great result. We have had miley on a long lead for 8 weeks now. It's just letting her off that still worries us as she ran on the road twice last year. Her recall is very good on a lead until she sees another dog. Then everything seems to be forgotten. We will try this summer off lead Smile
