A proud 'mummy' moment...
Been trying recall excercise with Dexter for a few weeks....think he is finally getting the hang of it.
Been teaching him to watch me if I can see a possible distraction...it paid off today... we were at the park and there were a couple of young people sat on the bench in his line of vision... he usually would have gone tearing over to them to say hello.
Today he didnt take his eyes off me and didnt give them a second thought... just wanted to play fetch with his ball.
Im so proud of my boy, I think he is finally getting the hang of it and I hope this means he will be a good boy to leave off lead.
Love my boy so much I could just burst.

Well done, repetition pays off in long term, wish Blue was better on recall, will come hopefully soon.

dont get me wrong, he isnt always as good....this morning I was at the park and he spotted a jogger on the other side of the railings...... went running over to say hello and couldnt understand why he couldnt get to the jogger (who had headphones in, so didnt even realise he was there lol)... Dexter just kept trying to keep up with him on our side of the railings............ it was so funny to watch

I am currently working on this with my boy Archer. He just loves to say hello to everyone and everything when we go for walks.
Good work to you and your pup!
