house training pup
Tia is 15 weeks does most of her pees and poos outside. If im too late getting her out she will pee inside. Anyone got some good house training tips, and what age do they become fully house trained. As in where they can hold it til U let them out?

Re: house training pup
Just the usual, make sure you praise her alot when she does it outside, and give her a treat.
Tell her off when she does it inside, she'll get the hang of it.
It took Zeus a good 4/5 months to completely understand where he should pee or poo.

Re: house training pup
I would say not to tell her off, or she will just hide and do it.
I say praise her when she goes in the right place, and just clear up and ignore any accidents.

Re: house training pup
I agree with Jellytot don't tell her off accidents happen. When Obi had an accident I just put him outside and cleared it up. It took a while for us as our garden was a bit of a building site but he's 8 months now and doing well.
Make sure that accidents are cleaned up properly so they can't smell. I use a solution of washing powder and water. It was recommended on here and it works brilliantly

Re: house training pup
Yeah whatever suits the pup, I guess. Telling Zeus off (saying no!) and putting him outside whenever he poo'd or pee'd in the house worked for me.

Re: house training pup
Pups don't obtain full control of their bowels/bladders until about 6 months old. That's not to say that they won't be housetrained before then, but they may still have the odd accident.
Your pup is still very young & it may be a little while longer before she can hold on for longer periods.

Thank you all, was nice to know a rough age they start to hold it, and yeah I give her a treat and praise her, I did start by telling her off then outside, but got told to also to ignore her accidents and just take her outside. Thanks all for the tips
