Let him explore the world at his own pace. He will likely sniff everything and get a little scared. Encourage him with food and take him a little further each day.

watch your body language because he sure will be. keep calm and dont fuss if he gets scared just wait and look about. He'll prob Have alot of excitement and want to explore anyway but what confidence he lacks he will need to draw from you.
Are you carrying about outside at the mo? its not a bad idea if your going to the pet shop to take him with you in your arms. people will want to fuss and this makes positive reinforcements for when his feet do hit the ground next week.

Bacchus took 2 or 3 weeks to realise that the collar and lead meant he was going to have fun when we reached the off-lead area. Kept sitting down and refusing to move, then all of a sudden it clicked. Now he loves his walks but still needs coaxing out of his crate for the early morning walk. Hates early morning!!!! But once out he is full of beans.

If you have a back garden put him on a lead out there first show him a treat but don't give it to him , start to slowly walk while showing him the treat , he will soon get used to the lead .

Here is Duke first time on lead aged 9 weeks . just click on the pic .

Ideally take him out before a meal, that way he will be hungry and ad u walk along u can give treats or throw treats on the path in front of him to move forward to !
That is the goal - moving in the right direction. Take it slow, 10mins is good x

And u basically need to act like a demented happy maniac to get him moving ! (dont worry what the neighbours think!)
