help needed asap
my dog has just got hold of a bag of silica gel, not sure if hes eaten any but is there any chance it will hurt him?
managed to get it off him straight away, he had just tore it open, and no, i have no idea where he got it from

it wont kill him but be prepared for an upset stomach if he ate alot take him to the vets as it can cause a blockage in the intestine

yes might well cause upset tummy and abit windy lol as it sucks moister and causes heat and gas

As long as it was only a small amount there shouldn't be any ill effects.

Should be OK as you got the bag off him straight away. These bags are normally small and put in with new electronic equipment, leather goods and similar to keep them dry.
Any granules swallowed WILL absorb water from his system but by the sounds of it he wouldn't have swallowed many granules, if any at all. Just keep an eye on him.

thanks every one, he seems fine, his normal self, will keep an extra eye on him over night and tomorrow

Thanks for the update Liam, I've got a feeling that Spike will be just fine.

just an update, spike is fine, got a huge bone off my dad when he came up to see us today so spike has been working his way through that most of the day
