Re: please help, Boxer fitting and foaming at mouth
possible epilepsy, ive seen it before with a weimeraner.
can be scary, but the best advice is keep a cool head. make sure if they are fitting that they wont fall (off a bed, sofa, down stairs) and theres nothing that could fall on top of them if its hit. DO NOT TRY TO RESTRAIN THE DOG as you could get unintentionally injured. once the fit has stopped the dog might be dazed and confused, just allow it to readjust in its own time, stay calm and just keep trying to verbally reassure it. if you try to pet and it snarls or snaps, back off and give it some time.
its a horrific thing to witness even after a few times, but once you have experianced it, you should know what to expect. the weim i knew had one at about 18 months, one at about 24 months, then two in the space of an hour at about 30 months, and since then (last march) she hasnt had any. if you or your mum are worried, make an appointment at the vets, there are some tests to see if its something they may have eaten or come into contact with, or if it is a mental condition like epilepsy. either way, its not the end of the world, can be medicated/treated depending on the severity of it.
hope this helps in some way

I would tend to agree with all above, sounds very much like epilepsy to me too. You would be best to get the dog to the vet as soon as you can for a thorough check up so any medication needed can be started asap.

Unfortuantly as a boxer the vet said he may be prone to funny turns such as epilepsy but he is fine not had any turns since thank goodness cause he is a lovely boy

Pleased he is ok , you will just have to be alert for strange signs / behaviour and be ready , at least you are now aware there may be a problem so have the chance to be extra vigilant
