Im not saying terrify the dog sometimes you cant address agression but you can manage it
I work in mental health and have met some very aggresive people who will never be cured but with the help of counceling and drugs they have a quality life and are managed safely in the comunity I believe we all have animal instincts.

Yes, but people & dogs don't think or act the same way. In your work do you frighten the patients in order to stop the aggression? I doubt it. Counselling is fine for humans, even drugs can and do work. But dogs? No amount of counselling will help a dog. And no amount of bullying or fear inducement will cure them of aggression - just hide it under the surface only to reappear with someone the dog feels more 'confident' with.........a child, maybe?

Anyway, CM will come to this country & the venues will sell out, so all my dislike will mean nothing in the end. I just feel he's a charlatan, a fake. Not all the time, he does have a way with dogs. I just don't like a lot of his methods & the fact that he isn't honest about what he does.

had no idea who this bloke was but just you tubed him and from the half hour i watched he does seem a bit exessive. as for victoria i actualy watch that a lot and think shes realy good at what she does even if a bit treat happy especialy with the letting people in the house thing (i aint ever wearing a bum bag to open the door lol).
if its proved that the guy is using shock treatment and strangulation techniques then he wants a beeting and personaly wont be watching as i couldnt knowing what was going on behind the scenes but innocent till proven guilty.
i never believed in these animal wisperers till our sister got a horse wisperer to her thoroubred mare who was a complete idiot.

i watched this bloke spend four hours with the horse and the change he brought out in the horse was amazing so maybe there is summat to it
but alot of the stuff on tv is stuff people already know and most is just common sense.
i.e having dinner dogs running round tables and jumping up at food (victoria last week channel 4)
stand up and march the dogs into other room repeat till dogs get the idea
owners were amazed at this and couldnt be greatfull enuff
lol well duh did you not think hang on il send em from the room?
ok rambling on now but wether this bloke is right or wrong in his training methods be honest everyone ones gunna watch it now just so we can see what he does lol
those without sky itl be on you tube the day after

It's only the speakers that are smashed not the jack which they are plugged into so headphones should work.
BUT your welcome here anytime. Bring your own toastie fillings

So who watched it?
Thought it was a rubbish one to be honest. I mean chucking the dog in the boot instead of doing it in a calm manner was pretty obvious.
The 2 sisters said at the end of the show that the tip CM showed them is working well........Why didn't they show the bits where he gives the tips........is the tip a bloody e collar Laughing

Oh, well that's ok then - I thought you just didn't have beer in them at all! I mean, if you're thirsty you have to drink, don't you? Big Grin
