Malting puppy!
Hey there peeps, now you would think it being winter that he would want to keep hold of what tiny little coat he has to stay warm......but no Marley is on a major malting session and i mean major its everywhere, does anyone have this with there puppy this time of year and is there any good suplements you can give to even reduce the malting a tad its driving me mad

Re: Malting puppy!
Dogs who live inside don't follow the same rules lol they will moult their summer coat out in favor of a winter coat, but when the heat in the house is on they go into a fake moult and moult out the winter coat again.

Great so its either a freezing house or a malting dog

Re: Malting puppy!
my puppy at 8-9 weeks lost a lot of his fur and went almost bald on his face. It is not malting.. But after i read up about it i found that it does happen to some pups when young. Something to do with how the immune system is weak at first in a few. lasted less than a week..
(If this doesnt relate to his problem ignore me LOL)

That's good to hear, I was hoping Charlie's coat would thicken up, it's so thin.

Re: Malting puppy!
Rocky is also shedding some of his coat at the moment, we put it down the central heating being on and him gaining his winter coat.
