How many dogs?
I searched for this and couldn't find anything.
Just curious to know how many dogs you all have, when you added the second dog, age etc and your reasons for having more than one dog and also those that have one dog and why you would just keep to one dog. If that makes much sense lol
Although Lola is only 4 months now and I love her to bits, eventually I would like to get another dog as I in my opinion dogs are pack animals and like to have a mate they can be with and play with in a way they cannot with a human.
Thank you but I am also just being a nosey bugger lol

Re: How many dogs?
I have three
I had Taz first then we kept on bumping into his sisters on walks (didn't know they were related till later) and he took a liking to the one which was Cassie her owner said he has to move and he doesn't want her anymore i collectd her the next day Taz was 5 months and so was Cassie (got told she was only 3 months though)
they'v been inseperatable ever since then came along Blondy which is their daughter, she has a hernia so refused to let her go to a new home till after her operation but i know already she is staying.
I love having dogs/animals around and i agree dogs are better in pairs or more if brought up right.

I just have my boy. He is almost 18 weeks. I wanted a staffy bitch when he is olde, but have been wondering if that will upset the applecart? He is very well trained and a happy pup, I would hate to get another and find that Charlie isn't as good. If it's not broke, don't fix it, and all that. But I do love the thought of him having a friend. Really not sure. Got a while to think about it though cos I wouldn't get another til he was about 18 months old.

Re: How many dogs?
I have just the one. Blue who is a recsue and about 17months old.
I would love another. I want a red female staffy who is older and well balanced to teach Blue and give him some company.
Money is tight at the mo but when work picks up I will hopefully get my red staffy.

Re: How many dogs?
We only have the one, but when we have more room and more money we will be looking into getting an American Bulldog, or some other large Bull breed.
It has to be bigger than her, though she has a distinct dislike to smaller dogs, including puppies.
If you are looking at getting another dog, see how your current one reacts to dogs out in public, pay attention to their sizes, I'd never have thought a dog would be less scared of another dog larger than it is, but apparently Molly is a bit weird like that.

Re: How many dogs?
lol, bless him, I dunno what Molly's issue is, puppies are a major issue with her, she's really aggressive towards them, she's never been aggressive towards anything else, just little puppies. Even if they are just sitting there doing nothing, she spots one and she starts growling and barking.
Bloody crazy mutt!

Oi, don't start blaming me!
I've only got the one, and to be honest, although I'd love another, I'm not sure whether Dempsey would accept it (or even if I could cope!). He's already reacted very badly to his best friend coming in to the house, so I doubt he'd take well to it.

Re: How many dogs?
Ive got two. We rescued Ty at 6 months then rescued Kaos at 11 weeks when Ty was 10ish months. Ty is now coming up 17 months and kaos is 8 months. Although if ur asking for advice on the subject then dont do what i did lol, get one of each sex and leave a good 18 month age gap minium! x

Re: How many dogs?
I have 3 dogs at home and one who lives with my mum since her dog had to be PTS (shes still my dog but on loan!).
Skibadee - 5years
I had Skibadee as a 7 week old bundle of wrinkles, she was my first stafford we did everything together. She is amazing, one in a million she knows what Im thinking and she heals my pain. I've never had, and never will have another dog like her. I wanted one though, thats why we've got;
Tali - 2years
Tali is Skibadee's daughter. I bred her to show and although she doesn't quite have the wisdom and control Skibadee does shes a fab dog and makes up for it in love and agility.
Meggerz
Meg is our 3/4 JRT and 1/4 staff. Shes 18 years old now and rules the roost! She came with my OH about a year ago when he moved in and is very definately his dog, a real daddy's girl.
Phoebe
Phoebe was my little rescue dog, shes 9 now and is half chihuahua and half JRT. She originally came from Spain and was imported and quarentined over here in 2003. Her owners didn't bother to come and collect her, as I worked at the kennels at the time and we had such a special bond I couldn't resist! She's my special little pook but lives with my mum at the moment after they lost their collie afetr 10years. But Im going to steal her back soon!
