Food help?
Hi,
I've had a look at the list of recommended dog foods on here but was wondering if anyone can help me choose one based on my dog's individual needs?
He's a staffie/whippet cross, nearly 18months, full of energy and very hyperactive! He gets a short walk and a long run every day. I ideally want to feed him a food which will calm him down a bit so no additives and dodgy ingredients. My local farm shop sells their own one which is marketed for "working dogs". He's not a working dog so I'm a bit reluctant to try that as I think it will make him even more full of beans.
He has no major health issues (apart from being a little bit underweight and lacking concentration!) and no allergies.
He was on James Wellbeloved as a puppy and now he has Hartingtons. Naiively I thought as it was in a brown paper bag it was a good choice but apparently not! Any recommendations?
Thanks all!

Re: Food help?
you could try a kibble dry food and to make it more entertaining add things like sardines and tuna etc something like the ones below

Re: Food help?
I can recommend the Barking Heads TLC kibble which is on the list of recommended foods. Rocky was on James Wellbeloved until we switched to this a few months ago. He used to be hyper but has calmed down now considerably. This could of course be down to his age as much as anything. Rocky is now 3 years old.
One of the advantages of feeding a kibble is that you can stuff a Kong with it which slows down the feeding time and your dog is not so likely to eat too quickly. You can also use a feeding ball as in the link below for the same issue:
