paws gone white

Her dogs been chewin on his paw and its turned white.
All other paws normal and hes not bothered about them.
Ideas? Never seen this before. I suggested maybe he stepped in something irritating like bleach or other cleaning stuff?

She said he is also limping on it, as if hes twisted it.
Could it go that colour due to a blood vessel being blocked or something? Going to the vet on monday but she wants to know if she should call out of hours.

Some dogs have white pads due to vitiligo which is a hereditary lack of pigment in the skin.
Has he seen the vet ??

It was previously grey normal colour, thats why shes worried. Its only happened yesterday and the dog is fine in himself just the paw issue, so doesnt want to call the out of hours vet if it isnt an emergency. will go to the vets tomorrow

Thats probably the right thing to do, best to get it checked out if it's not normal.
