No interest in toys :(
My 19 month old Staffy Rosie doesn't seem to have any interest in toys. I bought her 2 kongs and a squeaky ball and she hasn't touched them. One of the kongs has treats in it too. I tried playing fetch with her yesterday with a stick and she chased it and picked it up but that only lasted the one throw and she couldn't care less afterwards. She does enjoy a bit of rough house playing, but then she starts nipping.
I adopted her nearly a week ago now. She's doing really well living in my home, she doesn't chew or scratch. She just sleeps whilst I'm home or at work and she hasn't peed in my garage for the last 3 days (she did 3-4 times the first few days I had her).
Any ideas? I'd love for her to be more playful but I suppose it's a godsend that she isn't making a mess haha

She is most likely still setteling in and will start to play when she gets more comfortable. You could also try stuffing the Kong with something you know she really likes which should encourage her to chew.

Hopefully only chew the kongs and not the house

They are all a little different so she could end up being a chewer. If she does Bitter Apple or Vicks applied to the things you don't want her to chew will help.
If we are going to leave Suki we always make sure to walk her before we go so she will be tired and more likely to just sleep.

She might not have been allowed to play in her previous home. You might need to teach her!

give her time Miley was a rescue dog we have had her 8 months and she shows no interest in fetching a stick or playing outside. She will play indoors though with a boomer ball and she also likes rough play but you musnt really let her nip.

Yes give her time. Pixee didnt know how to play with toys when we brought her home, now she cant leave them alone. You will get there, but no nipping, that has to stop.

Re: No interest in toys :(
She might just need to learn how. There's a member on here who rescued a Staff who wasn't used to playing and didn't seem interested in it at first, but now he enjoys it. Just need to give her a bit of time and then try and entice her with some fun-looking toys

Re: No interest in toys :(
My girl never liked toys. The only thing that she will show interest in is a plastic tray that she plays with herself. Other than that i can only get to to play with a ball for approx 1-2mins then she runs off with it and throws it down somewhere then comes back so that i won't go after it again, or she totally ignores it.

This, really.
My current foster showed no interest in playing ball or fetching a stick at all - until I taught her.
Now she loves it.
A stag bar seems to be the best thing to occupy her with indoors.
