Has your dog ever done an "Escape from Alcatraz" from its crate?
Just wondering what crates to avoid.
I have a travel crate which is good but want a house crate, too.
Some I've looked at look like they're made out of spaghetti hoops though - a mouse could bend them.
Anyone recommend a sturdy staffy-proof one?
And any you wouldn't recommend?
Thanks.

we were given a cage/crate from the animal welfare place when we got Miley. She likes it and it has double locks on both doors. She loves her little retreat. Maybe because its lined with a duck and down quilt.

Sophie has a 42 inch crate which we use indoors, and a smaller one for in the car.
We got them from Amazon and worth every penny.

Thanks for the replies so far, folks.
I've now found the he-man of crates, which looks polar-bear proof, never mind staffies.
Nearly 110 quid, but worth it IMO.

I bought a double strength crate designed stronger dogs for my little lady, set me back £70 and she still managed to bend the bars out of shape when there was a thunderstorm one night (that I slept through ) Good luck in your quest

Should be here tomorrow according to the tracking information.
Can't see Sausage-Chops bending her way out of this.
Got if off ebay.

Should hopefully be Sausage-proof Dave - unlike the car dog guard which she took down inside a minute. Lol.
Dimensions are just a little smaller than her bed, which could fit two or three of her on it.
Will be kitting it out with a luxury duvet tomorrow night, then doing slow introductions/getting used to being inside it over the next week.

Can't get her out of it now. Lol. Only comes out to do the frog stretch across the carpet or to eat.
Waiting on a crate water bowl now.

I tried to get in to have a go myself but couldn't quite make it, Caryll.
Seems very well made and have been talking to the importer this morning about possibly getting some to use as transport crates at the rescue.
Best bit was it only took about five minutes to assemble.
Had to take the wheels off though - she was scooting around the dining room at one point.
