Re: different breed dogs
She is possibly just too lively for your mums dog. some dogs just do't like others to be too lively around them or jump up at them, so try to stop her before she gets to the point of jumping up at your mothers dog.

Staffs are VERY lively as we know, and Labs and Poodles - maybe not quite so (esp. Lab). Plus Bree is still a pup and your mum's dog is not, so perhaps he does get a bit fed up at times.
They'll probably settle down as Bree grows up, but meantime just steer her clear (as you are doing) when she gets a bit over-venturesome.
Oh and welcome to this site, you could not have come to a better place for a chat - we don't always agree with each other but we always try our best!

Sounds like she is trying to iniate play and the other dog just isn't interested.

Tommy will regularly do this to Tilly , she has her times when she's not interested and moves away for some quiet and other times she will give it back so depends on the dogs really . And Tilly will on occasions pounce on Tommy when he's not looking but he's always up for a rough n tumble with her
