Neutering
I'm having gunner neutered in January when he will be 19 months old, but recently I've heard a few things about it can stop growing and stem maturity. In regards to my puppy chaos who has jus turnt 5 months I was wondering what u guys know on the matter. As I was thinking of getting him done around 8 months. I know it sounds odd but I hope It don't take the 'man' out of gunner as I love the way he is its hard to explain but as I have a bitch I can defiantly tell the difference in their ways which I find owning three staffies the best fun.

Re: Neutering
I personally do not neuter at all too many health risks involved for my liking.
If you do though I'd always recommend waiting until at least 18 months preferably until 2 years old when they are mature.

Re: Neutering
It is better to get them done around 2 then they have basically stopped growing and bulking out. I wouldn't get a puppy done at 8 months at all.

Re: Neutering
Many pros and cons for and against I think vets advise early neutering as its much easier on the dog if its done early, when the dog is pre pubic the younger the easier and quicker the recovery as a vets point of veiw you cant blame them for that as there not thinking of the dogs looks more so benefits sooner rather than later.
Having a dog neutered when its fully mature is harder for the dog, the dog will be mature as it should and inherit adult features but the op may take longer to recover and time for testosterone to leave the dog.
I dont neuter unless it benefits the dog but thats my choice Im not chopping any bits off my dog but understand why others do choose to neuter just not for me
