nutritional information?
Oh I just love the internet, you never get a straight answer!
Been looking through here but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, am hoping you can help.
Star has been on Pedigree. I want to change to a better food. What nutritional analysis am I looking at when choosing a dry food for a pup? Percentage wise so I can scrutinise every detail on the packet and argue with the spotty teenager on the customer service desk who knows everything

Re: nutritional information?
I'm probably not the best person to answer because I feed Dempsey a raw diet, but I would look for a dry food that contains meat as the first listed ingredient, has as little as possible in the way of fillers, and contains no (or very little) wheat with no added colourings/flavourings.

That's the list of the good quality dry foods, I don't think you can go far wrong with any of those. Wainwrights has been a success for us so far, it's affordable but high protein minimal fillers etc. I think Kathy gives Rocky Barking heads so you can definitely trust that, correct me if I'm wrong Kathy I may have you confused with someone else

You are quite right, Rocky has the Barking Heads TLC and loves it. He seems to be a lot calmer since we put him onto that for one thing and he always eats it all up

Re: nutritional information?
The first three things I look for in a dry food:
1) Something with meat as the first ingredient.
2) Something which has the type of meat clarified on it (I've seen some which say 'Meat/Animal Derivatives' or just 'Meat', you want to know what type of meat it is).
3) Something with no/little fillers as possible (Corn Meal, wheat, etc).
