Cow hoof=diarrhea?
Hi
When Debo was about 4mnths we bought him cow hoof,he loved it. It didn't affect him in any way and it took him loooong time make it too small for him. Last weekend we bought another one and it's already to small for him to play with it safe. And I've noticed diarrhea, well some times it's just soften stool. Do you think because his jaws are much stronger he can bite throw it and it can cause that? At first I thought it was his water,we swap it from bottle one to boiled one but I swaped back and no change. His on f4ds the old formula with a bit of topping fro jwb.

Re: Cow hoof=diarrhea?
I've done some research and find out that I'm not the only one with this problem. Well my dog's not the only one. It says that it's not very safe for dogs with strong jaws because they can bite big chanks of it and swallow. And also dogs can break teeth on them. So from now on will stick with stag bar only.

Feet are personal things. I can't handle feet or eyeballs. Take them away and its just another carcus but not the feet dear god.

Betsy did once completely destroy one. I was a bit alarmed and spoke to my vet who said that her digestive system would just break it down. True enough I did notice broken down bits in her poo. Surely it must be painful to pass so I do take them away once they get quite small.
The ones I buy are filled with some kind of meat paste. If yours were, I wonder if it could've been an off one that he had? My gal does have a sensitive stomach and it ain't unusual for her to get slight runs every now and then

My two regularly have hooves and they are completely edible. They can eat a whole one in about 15 minutes, they however have iron stomachs and have never had a problem with them
