Sudden change in behaviour
Hi everyone
So it started about a week ago, my 4 year old jasper is usually so friendly with humans and dogs, whenever we take him over the park he runs around quite happily he tends to ignore other dogs and when they come up to him he gives a friendly sniff and goes away, but last week he met another dog and im not sure wether that dog growled at him but he sort of lunged and it and got really agressive.
After that i took him to some more quiet places where we didn't come across any other dogs, but yesterday my sister took him over the same park and a labrouder came running up to him and he growled and barked at it.
Hes absloutely fine with my other dog, and my aunts dog it just seems so out of character for him to be like this, after having him for 2 and a half years this is the first agression ive ever seen of him, it just has seem to come really suddenly.
Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas why he's being like this?
Thank you

Re: Sudden change in behaviour
The second one could be association with the first, if you see what I mean.
If the first dog stared at him, or came towards him a bit stiff legged, he may have reacted angrily to that. The second time he might just have remembered, being in the same place. Being with your sister may have made him act differently as well.
I'd just watch him & be aware of other dogs for a while.

Re: Sudden change in behaviour
There are times where they just won't get along with certain dogs for whatever reason. At his age it's not likely an aggression issue. Just keep an eye out and everything should be fine.

Yeah thank you, other dogs have had a go at him before but he usually just runs away, its very strange yeah like you said it may just be that park.
