My new Puppy is finally hear

I picked up my new puppy last weekend. Her name is "Hopyard Destined for Greatness of TNF" aka Destiny. She is 8 1/2 weeks old in pics. She will be competing in Weight Pull, agility, obedience, dock diving, Iron Dog, Schutzhund, and PSA when she gets older. Below is her pedigree

I'll be honest here, I have had dogs much more inbred than this, and they've been lovely, healthy dogs. The only common ancestors of Destiny seem to be Great-Grandparents which is not so close in pure-bred line-bred dogs.

Destiny looks gorgeous (although all puppies are gorgeous of course) and the photos of her pulling her little log are so sweet (although I have to admit that I don't know anything about this Weight Pull business).

I meant no disrespect & certainly don't want to start a debate. But it's been proven that inbreeding is bad for a dog's health, and that's why the KC have banned certain related matings. You were lucky to have a highly inbred dog that was healthy.

Ah Carol, I know you didn't mean any disrespect to Destiny, she looks like a lovely pup. My dogs weren't highly inbred, just a bit (first cousins once removed was the closest. Others had close inbreeding further back in their lines.

I QUITE AGREE that inbreeding is a bad thing in general and I didn't want to start a debate either, just say that Destiny's bloodlines look quite healthy to me - in my (human) genealogy research I've come across a lot of humans more inbred than Destiny
