believe what you hear ?
Was just flicking through and thought id throw a question in here.... seeing as most of us have staffys or bully breeds we no what its liked to be stereotyped and we all no that staffs don't have the best reputation we obviously don't believe what we hear about staffs eg: "vicious" "evil" "nasty" the usual ignorant bullsh*t so do people think its the same with pitbulls ? my view is at the end of the day there just another misunderstood breed that most people think are bad because they've been led to believe it through the media and social stigma but really they don't have a clue.

Re: believe what you hear ?
i think they are just another misunderstood breed, unfortunately imo if they were allowed in england the stereotypes would dump other bull breeds like hot cakes

ive met quite a few "pit bulls" i use " because everyone ive come across is blatantly a staff cross or never have the shame shape as another one ive seen but they've all been nice dogs such a shame about the way theyre portrayed ! i agree with what hayley said though if bsl did just stop completely all the idiots would drop there staffys or bully breeds to have a pit

Re: believe what you hear ?
nope there were only a handful, and one of the banned breeds (cant remember which) there wasn't ANY in uk at the time and yet still banned, which is why BSL doesnt work

Re: believe what you hear ?
they say its because (dont know how true this is) all the TRUE full breed pitulls have been fighting dogs in the uk and its bloodline has followed on which has now passed on to all pups and your most certainly going to get an agressive dog..,lad down my road has one,its all microcipped, tattood, insured, not even allowed on varander without its muzzle and lead on,no life for a dog if u ask me,its not worth having one if thats what u have to do to it.its a tough one,i feel really bad for those dogs im sure they are beautiful and if cared for properly have just as good temprement as a staff, but if 1 thing i am glad of,its young kids cant use them like they do staffies, were i live if you go on shops n a kids got a staffie its the best status dog around..i would hate to think what would happen if kids were allowed to wonder around with pitbulls.. my kids arnt allowed to take our dogs out no questions asked..x
